Binamarket Launches On-Chain Event-Based Trading Platform

Binamarket, a decentralized on-chain marketplace, has unveiled its event-based trading infrastructure designed to support markets linked to publicly verifiable real-world events. The platform allows participants to take positions on binary outcomes, with all activity transparently recorded on the BNB Chain through smart contracts. By relying on blockchain-based settlement and open participation, Binamarket aims to provide a transparent and auditable framework for event-driven markets.

The platform has been developed to enable the creation and participation in markets tied to outcomes that can be independently verified using external data sources. Binamarket operates entirely through smart contracts, ensuring that settlement processes are automated and transparent. Built on the BNB Chain, the platform benefits from efficient transaction processing, which is particularly important for time-sensitive event-based markets that require rapid interaction and clear resolution rules.

Inaugural Market Focuses on Gold Price Milestone

As part of its initial rollout, Binamarket has introduced its first event-based market under the Hot News category. This inaugural offering centers on whether the internationally referenced spot price of gold reaches or exceeds five thousand US dollars per troy ounce by January 31, 2026. Participants are able to choose between two predefined outcomes, reflecting a simple yes-or-no structure tied directly to the specified price condition and date.

The resolution of this market is governed strictly by predefined rules that reference external price data. The smart contract associated with the event is designed to resolve automatically either when the stated condition is met or once the resolution date has passed. This structure ensures that outcomes are determined solely by verifiable data rather than subjective interpretation.

Crowd-Sentiment Driven Market Design

Binamarket differentiates itself from traditional trading platforms by positioning its markets as tools for aggregating crowd sentiment rather than providing centralized analysis or forecasts. Outcome pricing is shaped entirely by participant activity, reflecting how users collectively position themselves in response to evolving real-world developments. The platform continuously displays sentiment indicators based on this activity, offering real-time insight into how expectations shift over time.

Each position within a market is represented by outcome shares that are priced through open participation. This mechanism allows prices to function as probability signals derived from user behavior, rather than from editorial input or institutional opinions. The platform’s architecture emphasizes neutrality, ensuring that it does not influence participant decisions through recommendations or predictive commentary.

Core Infrastructure and Transparency Features

Binamarket’s event-market infrastructure relies on several key technical principles. All market positions and transactions are recorded on-chain, making them publicly auditable through the BNB Chain. Settlement is decentralized and handled automatically by smart contracts that reference predefined external data sources. The platform follows a non-custodial design, meaning that smart contracts manage positions without the involvement of centralized intermediaries.

In addition, the system aggregates probability signals by continuously reflecting participant positioning within each market. This approach allows observers to track sentiment changes as events unfold, while maintaining full transparency regarding how prices are formed and how outcomes are resolved.

Neutral Framework and Market Integrity

The platform has been designed to operate without providing financial advice, investment recommendations, or asset price forecasts. It does not express opinions on the likelihood or desirability of any outcome. Instead, Binamarket resolves markets strictly according to predefined rules using publicly verifiable data, with all activity immutably recorded on-chain.

Through this launch, Binamarket is positioning its infrastructure as a transparent and neutral environment for event-based markets. By combining decentralized settlement, open participation, and real-time sentiment indicators, the platform aims to offer a clear view of collective expectations surrounding major global, financial, and economic events.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…

This development comes as the network continues to evolve, recently deploying its major “Rio” upgrade on the Amoy testnet to enhance future scaling capabilities. This information comes from a new joint report on the state of the RWA market published on Sept. 17 by blockchain analytics firm Dune and data platform RWA.xyz. The focus on RWAs is intensifying across the industry, coinciding with events like the ongoing Real-World Asset Summit in New York. Sandeep Nailwal, CEO of the Polygon Foundation, highlighted the findings via a post on X, noting that the TVL is spread across 269 assets and 2,900 holders on the Polygon PoS chain.
