NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The leadership team at Tyton Partners is delighted to announce the next phase of the firm’s growth with the election of Max Woolf, Matt Lavelle, and Dan Clary as Partners in its Investment Banking Practice.

“These promotions underscore the growth of Tyton Partners and the exceptional talent across our platform,” said Christopher Curran, Founder and Managing Partner/CEO, Tyton Partners Investment Banking. “Each individual demonstrates our commitment to deep sector expertise, senior-level execution, and long-term client relationships. Adding Max, Matt, and Dan strengthens our leadership team at a time when our clients are navigating increasing complexity across the education and knowledge sectors. Their experience, judgement, and shared commitment to the firm’s mission deepen our bench and position Tyton Partners well for the next phase of our growth.”

“We are incredibly proud to welcome Max, Matt, and Dan into the partnership. They’ve helped shape Tyton Partners into what it is today, and their promotion reflects the strength of our culture and our reputation as the leading investment bank in the EdTech and global knowledge space. Expanding the partnership reinforces the depth of talent we’ve built and ensures continuity as the firm continues to grow,” said Vivek Kamath, Partner/COO, Tyton Partners Investment Banking.

Max Woolf joined Tyton Partners in January 2016, bringing deep sector expertise across the education and EdTech market segments. At Tyton Partners, Max has played a key role in advising both sellside and buyside clients on M&A, capital raising, and strategic initiatives, while helping to deepen the firm’s expertise across the K-12 and post-secondary sectors. Prior to joining Tyton Partners, Max served as Principal Analyst at Eduventures, where he led research on online program management providers, post-secondary online strategy, and edtech adoption. Earlier in his career, Max worked in investment banking at Good Harbor Partners and served as the General Manager of The Daily Jolt, an EdTech company.

Matt Lavelle joined Tyton Partners in August 2018, bringing extensive experience across strategy, corporate development, and transaction execution within the education and skilled workforce sectors. At Tyton Partners, Matt advises education and education technology clients on M&A and strategic transactions, drawing on his background in capital allocation, diligence, and operational advisory to support complex client engagements. Prior to joining Tyton Partners, Matt served as Director of Strategy & Corporate Development at Universal Technical Institute (NYSE: UTI), where he focused on operational transformation initiatives, capital allocation strategy, and M&A opportunities. Prior to that, Matt worked at Coliseum Capital Management where he spearheaded the firm’s investment in UTI, shifting his focus full-time to the education sector.

Dan Clary joined Tyton Partners in September 2020, bringing extensive strategy, transaction, and operating experience across the education and global knowledge sector. At Tyton Partners, Dan has played a key role in advising clients on complex M&A and strategic transactions, leveraging his operator-informed perspective and deep understanding of software and technology-enabled models across the education and training sector. Prior to joining Tyton Partners, Dan spent more than a decade at Covista (previously Adtalem, NYSE: ATGE), most recently serving as Director of Corporate Development and M&A, where he led diligence, execution, and integration for global transactions and supported enterprise strategy, portfolio optimization, and capital allocation initiatives. Earlier in his career, Dan co-founded a provider of online higher education services and worked in consulting at Bain & Company.

Collectively, these promotions highlight Tyton Partners’ continued momentum and investment in its people as the firm deepens its work across the global EdTech, workforce, knowledge services, information and media markets.
