Elon Musk’s X Launches Smart Cashtags for BTC, ETH, XRP, DOGE, MSTR, COIN, Others

Elon Musk’s X has officially debuted Smart Cashtags for stocks and crypto. This new feature adds interactive, real-time financial data to users’ timelines. It supports major crypto and stocks cashtags such as BTC, ETH, XRP, SOL, DOGE, TSLA, MSTR, and COIN.

The Smart Cashtags feature is currently available on iPhone in the US and Canada. It’s another move toward Elon Musk’s vision of making X an everything app.

Smart Cashtags for Stocks and Crypto Go Live on X

In an X post on April 15, X product head Nikita Bier revealed that Elon Musk’s everything app debuted the Smart Cashtags feature for iPhone users in the US and Canada. This brings real-time financial data to X.

Users will see matching stocks or crypto tokens when they search for or post a cashtag or contract address. Tapping cashtags will let users see related posts and their price chart.

“Cashtags are just the first step in our commitment to be the best destination for the finance and crypto community,” Nikita Bier added. X will enable a trading feature in the near future, saying “trading should be frictionless.”

X also announced a pilot integration with Canada’s leading brokerage Wealthsimple. This enables users in Canada to trade stocks and crypto directly from Smart Cashtags on X.

BTC, ETH, XRP, DOGE, TSLA, MSTR, and COIN Charts Available on X

Users can type or tap cashtags to see live price charts, market data, and related posts right in the X app. Cashtags are available for crypto assets such as BTC, ETH, XRP, SOL, DOGE, BONK, USDT, USDC and others.

It also supports major stocks such as Nvidia (NVDA), Tesla (TSLA), Strategy (MSTR), and Coinbase (COIN). This follows earlier hints from Elon Musk and product head Nikita Bier about Smart Cashtags and X Money launch.

The announcement grabbed massive attention from the crypto community. X claimed the roll-outs, including X Money could help with fixing the crypto market following a difficult year.

Speculations continue to swirl about Dogecoin and Bitcoin’s integration into X Money for payments. Dogecoin bounced slightly amid these announcements, currently trading at $0.093. Meanwhile, BTC price is trading 1% lower at $73,900 amid profit-taking after recovering to $ 76,000 highs.
