What XRP Is Doing Next Will Shock the Market: Analyst

  • Ripple spent 2025 quietly building full financial infrastructure, focusing on custody, treasury, trading, and settlement “rails.”
  • More acquisitions are expected in 2026, potentially including compliant on/off-ramps, positioning Ripple to control the entire transaction lifecycle.
  • XRP’s dominance in South Korea trading volume is cited as proof of real-world usage and liquidity.

Crypto analyst X Finance Bull has argued that XRP’s next phase of development could surprise much of the market, pointing to Ripple’s strategic moves throughout 2025. According to the analyst, Ripple spent the year acquiring and strengthening critical financial infrastructure, including custody services, treasury capabilities, and trading-related components.

Rather than pursuing short-term expansion, the company focused on assembling what the analyst described as the “rails” of a full financial stack. These moves positioned Ripple beyond its traditional payments narrative and closer to becoming a comprehensive financial infrastructure provider.

More Acquisitions Expected in 2026

The outlook gained further traction after Ripple President Monica Long confirmed that additional acquisitions are planned for 2026. X Finance Bull suggested these deals are not about growth for its own sake, but about completing missing elements in Ripple’s ecosystem.

With blockchain infrastructure, stablecoin issuance, and custody solutions already in place, the remaining gap identified by the analyst is scalable and compliant on- and off-ramps. He highlighted MoonPay as a potential fit, citing its regulatory credentials, institutional-grade services, and public signals of support for XRP.

If such integration materializes, Ripple could control the full transaction lifecycle, from fiat entry to on-chain settlement and exit.

Vision Centers on Owning the Full Transaction Flow

According to the analysis, Ripple’s broader vision is to own and manage the entire transaction flow rather than operating as a single-purpose payments firm. By combining blockchain settlement, stablecoins, custody, and compliant access points, Ripple would be positioned to offer end-to-end financial infrastructure to institutions.

X Finance Bull described this approach as how infrastructure becomes “inevitable,” noting that widespread adoption often follows once systems are complete, regulated, and easy to integrate. In this context, the analyst believes 2026 could mark a pivotal year for XRP’s role within global finance.

XRP Dominates Trading Activity in South Korea

In a follow-up commentary, X Finance Bull pointed to trading data from South Korea as evidence of XRP’s real-world relevance. According to data from Upbit, the country’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, XRP was the most traded digital asset of 2025, surpassing Bitcoin in total volume within one of the world’s most active retail crypto markets.

The analyst emphasized that this dominance was driven by volume, liquidity, and usage rather than speculative price movements. XRP/KRW reportedly ranked as the top trading pair for much of the year, with Upbit processing more than $1 trillion in total trades.

He argued that South Korea’s market structure provides insight into which assets function effectively under high liquidity and active participation.

Usage and Liquidity Highlight XRP’s Market Position

X Finance Bull concluded that markets with deep liquidity and active participation tend to reveal practical utility rather than narrative-driven hype. In his view, XRP’s strong presence in South Korea demonstrates how usage creates liquidity, liquidity attracts capital, and relevance ultimately drives price discovery.

While the analyst stopped short of making direct price predictions, he maintained that Ripple’s infrastructure-first strategy and XRP’s demonstrated trading demand could set the stage for significant developments ahead, particularly as Ripple moves to finalize its ecosystem in 2026.

The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For

The post The Channel Factories We’ve Been Waiting For appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Visions of future technology are often prescient about the broad strokes while flubbing the details. The tablets in “2001: A Space Odyssey” do indeed look like iPads, but you never see the astronauts paying for subscriptions or wasting hours on Candy Crush.  Channel factories are one vision that arose early in the history of the Lightning Network to address some challenges that Lightning has faced from the beginning. Despite having grown to become Bitcoin’s most successful layer-2 scaling solution, with instant and low-fee payments, Lightning’s scale is limited by its reliance on payment channels. Although Lightning shifts most transactions off-chain, each payment channel still requires an on-chain transaction to open and (usually) another to close. As adoption grows, pressure on the blockchain grows with it. The need for a more scalable approach to managing channels is clear. Channel factories were supposed to meet this need, but where are they? In 2025, subnetworks are emerging that revive the impetus of channel factories with some new details that vastly increase their potential. They are natively interoperable with Lightning and achieve greater scale by allowing a group of participants to open a shared multisig UTXO and create multiple bilateral channels, which reduces the number of on-chain transactions and improves capital efficiency. Achieving greater scale by reducing complexity, Ark and Spark perform the same function as traditional channel factories with new designs and additional capabilities based on shared UTXOs.  Channel Factories 101 Channel factories have been around since the inception of Lightning. A factory is a multiparty contract where multiple users (not just two, as in a Dryja-Poon channel) cooperatively lock funds in a single multisig UTXO. They can open, close and update channels off-chain without updating the blockchain for each operation. Only when participants leave or the factory dissolves is an on-chain transaction…
