Pi Network Launches Pi Ad Network to Support App Developers

3 min read

Pi Network has launched a new feature named the Pi Ad Network. This marks a fresh step in how apps inside the Pi ecosystem can earn money. It is shared by community accounts following Pi Core Team announcements.

The idea is simple. Advertisers pay in Pi token and their ads appear inside apps built on the Pi Browser. Then developers earn Pi tokens for the attention their apps bring in. It makes the Pi Ad Network the first real platform-level utility inside the Pi Browser. While for Pi Network, the focus is clear. It talks less about the price. It is more focused on usage, builders and long term growth.

What the Pi Ad Network Actually Does

The Pi Ad Network allows ads to run inside Pi Browser apps. Advertisers pay using Pi coins. That Pi coin goes directly to app developers. It gives developers a clear reason to keep building. Additionally, improving apps. Until now, many Pi apps struggled with monetization. They had users but no clean way to earn. This system tries to fix that.

The Pi Core Team first tested this idea in March 2024. Though only a small group of apps could use it. After that in April 2025, Pi Network expanded the program to all eligible ecosystem apps. While now, in 2026, Pi network is pushing it as a core feature. The goal is to turn user attention into real value inside the network. If apps earn, developers stay. Furthermore, if developers stay, the ecosystem grows.

Why Pi Is Pushing Developers First

Pi Network has always said it wants real apps, not empty promises. The Pi Ad Network fits that message. Instead of asking developers to wait for price growth, Pi gives them a working tool now. Apps that attract users can earn Pi today, not someday. Also, this pushes Pi into real usage. While advertisers must buy Pi to run ads. That creates demand that is tied to activity, not hype. As such, users see ads inside apps they already use and nothing fancy, just a normal ad model, but built on crypto rails. Pi believes this is how adoption actually happens.

Growth Updates Come Alongside the Launch

The ad network news comes during a busy phase for Pi. The poineer see in the recent weeks, Pi unblocked mainnet migration for around 2.5 million users. That pushed the number of migrated, identity-verified users toward 16 to 17 million. As February brings a large token unlock of about 189 million Pi.

Community leaders keep repeating the same message. Price is not the story right now but the infrastructure is. Pi is adding KYC options like palm print verification. It is clearing migration backlogs and now it is giving developers a reason to stay active.

What This Means Going Forward

This Pi Ad Network will not fix everything overnight. But it still depends on user activity, app quality and mainnet stability. Also, it does show direction. Pi is trying to build an internal economy where Pi coins actually move between users, advertisers and developers. Right now, this is another building block and not flashy or loud but practical. If developers adopt it and users stay engaged, the Pi ecosystem could slowly turn from a waiting room into a working network.
