The XRP Ledger has moved ahead of Solana in total on-chain real-world asset tokenization value, excluding stablecoins.
Data from RWA.xyz shows XRPL holding approximately $1.75 billion in tokenized RWA value, compared to $1.68 billion on Solana.
The shift marks a notable change in network positioning within the tokenization segment, particularly given the structural differences between the two ecosystems.
One of the more striking elements of the data is the disparity in holder distribution. XRPL reportedly maintains only 15 RWA asset holders, a significantly smaller base compared to the broader, retail-heavy participation seen on Solana.
This suggests that XRPL’s growth is being driven by high-value institutional issuance rather than wide retail adoption. In other words, value concentration is high even as participant count remains low.
Over the past 30 days, XRPL’s RWA value expanded by 276.75%, reaching roughly $1.45 billion during that acceleration phase. By contrast, Solana’s 30-day growth registered at 43.34%, indicating a more moderate expansion.
XRPL’s tokenized assets are concentrated in commodities and private credit structures, including instruments such as the JMWH tokenized energy commodity and the Anita Diamonds Collection. Partnerships with regulated entities like Archax and Aviva Investors have also contributed to capital inflows.
Solana, by comparison, has maintained stronger exposure to tokenized U.S. Treasuries and equities-based instruments.
Institutions selecting XRPL have cited its built-in compliance infrastructure as a differentiator. Native features such as credential verification mechanisms and delegated token management tools are positioned to support regulated financial workflows, particularly in markets where legal compliance remains central to adoption.
Based on current RWA value metrics excluding stablecoins, XRPL now ranks as the fourth-largest network in tokenized asset value, while Solana fluctuates between fifth and sixth place depending on data updates.
The lead is narrow in absolute terms, but the pace of growth has shifted momentum toward XRPL in early 2026.
On February 11, 2026, Ripple announced a partnership with Aviva Investors aimed at bringing traditional fund structures onto XRPL. The collaboration aligns with the broader institutional positioning visible in recent RWA data.
Some market projections suggest that if the current growth rate persists, XRPL’s RWA value could expand into the $3 billion to $6 billion range by year-end 2026. Whether that expansion materializes will depend on continued institutional issuance rather than retail participation.
The current data reflects a structural divergence: Solana retains broader distribution, while XRPL is gaining traction through concentrated institutional deployment.
