Longtime journalist Ron Fournier highlighted the recent resignation of top Goldman Sachs lawyer Kathryn Ruemmler, who was uncovered in the investigation files for trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

Fournier highlighted the "friendly emails" using words like "sweetie" and calling the sex offender “Uncle Jeffrey."

She has now resigned, but the top investment bank didn't fire her. It is just another example of a protected class that enabled a known sex predator, he described.

Fournier cited The New York Times writer and reporter Robert Draper, calling it all a story of "a heinous criminal given a free ride by the ruling class in which he dwelled."

Meanwhile, "Trump rode along," said Fournier.

Draper painted Epstein as a kind of modern-day Caligula, zipping around the world on private jets, having sex parties on private islands, and rubbing elbows and other appendages with the rich and powerful. All the while, the world was approaching an economic collapse, a mortgage crisis, and a manufacturing-sector meltdown. Americans were losing their jobs and their homes, but Epstein and his ilk were protected with a bubble of power and money.

Turning to Trump, Fournier cited Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), who tweeted that the president's name was mentioned more than 38,000 times in the files. While there are over 6 million documents, the latest release was only 3.5 million.

The findings included, "Trump and Epstein were far closer associates than the president admits," began Fournier. "Epstein believed Trump 'knew about the girls.' Epstein claimed in a number of private email exchanges that he had damaging information on Trump.
In a 2011 email to his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein said that Trump had spent hours at his house with Virginia Giuffre and that Trump was 'the dog that didn't bark.'"

He also mentioned the 2003 birthday drawing Trump made for Epstein.

There are a number of allegations that came into the FBI about Trump and sexual assault or abuse.

While Ruemmler is the latest to suffer consequences of a relationship with Epstein, Fournier noted Trump still has not.
