HashKey Chain, a compliant and institutional-grade public blockchain under HashKey Group, announced that it officially supports the on-chain issuance and operation of the regulated Silver Real-World Asset (RWA) project, "Silver Token".

HashKey Chain, as a crucial underlying platform for HashKey Group's next-generation financial infrastructure, is continuously serving key scenarios such as the on-chaining of real assets, the entry of institutional funds, and on-chain issuance and circulation. Initiated by Tian Shi Resources Holdings Limited (stock code: 8028) and its subsidiary Silver Age Limited, and providing physical silver, this project is Hong Kong's first regulated Real-World Asset (RWA) project for silver, offering professional investors an efficient, transparent, secure, and convenient way to participate in the silver investment market.

HashKey Chain supports the on-chain issuance of Hong Kong's first regulated silver RWA silver token.

This collaboration not only marks a significant breakthrough for Hong Kong precious metals RWA, but also further demonstrates HashKey's practical ability to promote the on-chain issuance and circulation of real assets within a compliant framework.

Silver Tokens are pegged to one ounce of 999.9 purity physical silver per token. The physical assets are held in a warehouse operated by an internationally recognized, institutionally-grade independent service provider, while the silver ownership is held in a trust, with a registered trust company holding a trust and corporate service provider license acting as trustee. HashKey Chain, as an Ethereum Layer 2 solution, provides robust smart contract functionality, low transaction costs, and compatibility with the broad Ethereum ecosystem. This technological infrastructure is dedicated to ensuring all transactions are efficient, secure, and verifiable on-chain.

With the increasing acceptance of tokenized assets in global capital markets, driven by demand from artificial intelligence infrastructure, photovoltaic energy, and the electric vehicle industry, commodities such as silver are becoming important categories in RWA. The launch of Silver Tokens marks a significant step forward for the tokenization of traditional commodities within a compliant framework. The project is supported by HashKey Group, which provides blockchain infrastructure and smart contract development. The project coordinator, Ed Securities & Futures Limited (“Ed Securities”), is a Type 1 licensed corporation of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, specializing in virtual asset trading and product distribution services. Ed Securities provides placement services and market channels, ensuring project compliance and enabling it to reach a wide range of professional investors. This multi-party collaboration has built a complete chain from asset generation, on-chain mapping, compliant distribution to market circulation, providing a standardized business reference for future RWA projects.

Li Chen, CEO of HashKey's On-Chain Business Group, stated, "Silver Tokens is a typical RWA (Real-World Application) model case. HashKey CaaS not only provides technical support but also leads the implementation of the overall on-chain solution as the infrastructure layer. We believe that as more and more assets enter the blockchain through standardized infrastructure, traditional finance and blockchain will accelerate their integration, and this is an important step in HashKey's commitment to building on-chain financial infrastructure."

Chen Yijin, CEO of Tian Shi Resources Holdings Limited, said, “We are delighted to announce the launch of Silver Tokens, issuing Hong Kong’s first regulated silver RWA. This initiative reflects our commitment to innovation and our belief in the transformative potential of blockchain technology in popularizing traditional investment products. Silver is facing structural shortages and continued growth in industrial demand, offering investors an attractive opportunity. We are honored to provide investors with an efficient, secure, transparent, and convenient way to participate in this market. Our collaboration with HashKey and Edddid Securities ensures that investors are provided with institutional-grade infrastructure and regulatory compliance.”

As a crucial component of HashKey Group's business portfolio, HashKey Chain is dedicated to serving the on-chain needs of institutional users and real assets. In the future, the platform plans to further promote the comprehensive on-chaining and interoperability of assets such as precious metals, commodities, money market funds, bonds, and structured products, support stablecoins and on-chain payment scenarios, explore the combined application of AI and on-chain data, gradually form an on-chain financial closed loop, and build a sustainable digital financial ecosystem.

Coinbase Slams ‘Patchwork’ State Crypto Laws, Calls for Federal Preemption

The post Coinbase Slams ‘Patchwork’ State Crypto Laws, Calls for Federal Preemption appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. In brief Coinbase has filed a letter with the DOJ urging federal preemption of state crypto laws, citing Oregon’s securities suit, New York’s ETH stance, and staking bans. Chief Legal Officer Paul Grewal called state actions “government run amok,” warning that patchwork enforcement “slows innovation and harms consumers.” A legal expert told Decrypt that states risk violating interstate commerce rules and due process, and DOJ support for preemption may mark a potential turning point. Coinbase has gone on the offensive against state regulators, petitioning the Department of Justice that a patchwork of lawsuits and licensing schemes is tearing America’s crypto market apart. “When Oregon can sue us for services that are legal under federal law, something’s broken,” Chief Legal Officer Paul Grewal tweeted on Tuesday. “This isn’t federalism—this is government run amok.” When Oregon can sue us for services that are legal under federal law, something’s broken. UK Looks to US to Adopt More Crypto-Friendly Approach

UK Looks to US to Adopt More Crypto-Friendly Approach

The post UK Looks to US to Adopt More Crypto-Friendly Approach appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. The UK and US are reportedly preparing to deepen cooperation on digital assets, with Britain looking to copy the Trump administration’s crypto-friendly stance in a bid to boost innovation.  UK Chancellor Rachel Reeves and US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent discussed on Tuesday how the two nations could strengthen their coordination on crypto, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday, citing people familiar with the matter.  The discussions also involved representatives from crypto companies, including Coinbase, Circle Internet Group and Ripple, with executives from the Bank of America, Barclays and Citi also attending, according to the report. The agreement was made “last-minute” after crypto advocacy groups urged the UK government on Thursday to adopt a more open stance toward the industry, claiming its cautious approach to the sector has left the country lagging in innovation and policy.  Source: Rachel Reeves Deal to include stablecoins, look to unlock adoption Any deal between the countries is likely to include stablecoins, the Financial Times reported, an area of crypto that US President Donald Trump made a policy priority and in which his family has significant business interests. The Financial Times reported on Monday that UK crypto advocacy groups also slammed the Bank of England’s proposal to limit individual stablecoin holdings to between 10,000 British pounds ($13,650) and 20,000 pounds ($27,300), claiming it would be difficult and expensive to implement. UK banks appear to have slowed adoption too, with around 40% of 2,000 recently surveyed crypto investors saying that their banks had either blocked or delayed a payment to a crypto provider.  Many of these actions have been linked to concerns over volatility, fraud and scams. The UK has made some progress on crypto regulation recently, proposing a framework in May that would see crypto exchanges, dealers, and agents treated similarly to traditional finance firms, with…
