Anthropic, a leading AI safety and research company, has announced the formation of the Anthropic National Security and Public Sector Advisory Council. This strategic initiative is designed to assist the U.S. government and allied democracies in maintaining technological advantages during an era of heightened strategic competition, according to Anthropic.

Advisory Council’s Composition

The newly established council comprises prominent figures from various sectors, including former U.S. Senators and leaders from the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, Department of Energy, and Department of Justice. The council aims to guide Anthropic in identifying high-impact applications that enhance cybersecurity, intelligence analysis, and scientific research capabilities.

Notable members of the inaugural council include:

  • Roy Blunt, former U.S. Senator for Missouri.
  • David S. Cohen, former Deputy Director of CIA.
  • Richard Fontaine, CEO of the Center for a New American Security.
  • Christopher Fonzone, former Assistant Attorney General.
  • Lisa E. Gordon-Hagerty, CEO of Wolverine Global.

  • Jon Tester, former U.S. Senator from Montana.

Commitment to AI Leadership

Anthropic is committed to ensuring the safe transition through transformative AI, with a focus on maintaining U.S. leadership in AI development and deployment. Over recent months, Anthropic has accelerated the adoption of frontier AI capabilities across defense and public sectors.

This includes the introduction of Claude Gov models for national security, a $200 million partnership with the Department of Defense, and deploying AI tools to 10,000 scientists at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Additionally, Anthropic is collaborating with the National Nuclear Security Administration to develop nuclear safeguards for AI and offering accessible AI solutions to government branches.

Strategic Implications

As AI systems become increasingly capable, understanding their national security implications is crucial. Anthropic has partnered with the Department of Energy and other institutions to evaluate the potential risks associated with AI models divulging sensitive information.

The council’s establishment is a significant step towards developing safe, effective, and cutting-edge technology, ensuring that the U.S. and its allies maintain a competitive edge in global technological advancements.

Aave V4 roadmap signals end of multichain sprawl

The post Aave V4 roadmap signals end of multichain sprawl appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Aave Labs has released its official launch roadmap for V4, laying out the final steps ahead of the major upgrade’s Q4 mainnet launch.  Alongside new architectural and security improvements, the roadmap introduces a fundamental shift in how user balances are tracked and highlights a strategic pullback from economically underperforming deployments across layer-2 and alternative layer-1 networks. The V4 release moves away from aTokens’ rebasing-style mechanics toward ERC-4626-style share accounting, a change that promises cleaner integrations, easier tax treatment, and better compatibility with downstream DeFi infrastructure.  In a recent technical development update, Aave Labs confirmed that “tokenization is to remain optional and built using ERC 4626 vaults,” and that internal accounting will eliminate the use of exchange rates or scaled balances. The goal is to “further improve the overall reliability of the protocol.” ERC-4626 is a widely adopted Ethereum standard that expresses user deposits as shares of a vault rather than balances that grow over time. In Aave V3, aTokens accrue interest by increasing a user’s balance directly — behavior that resembles rebasing tokens and often confuses integrations and portfolio accounting tools.  By contrast, ERC-4626 tracks yield through a rising price-per-share metric, leaving token balances unchanged. The result is more predictable behavior for integrators, auditors and tax software, as well as a clearer cost basis for users. The roadmap also outlines a series of release milestones, including a formal codebase publication, a public testnet launch with a redesigned interface, and the completion of a multi-layered security review involving formal verification and manual audits. Aave Labs said the roadmap reflects the protocol’s “final stages of review, testing, and deployment,” and that additional documentation and launch preparation materials will be released in the coming weeks. But the most pointed strategic shift comes not from the codebase, but from Aave’s own governance forums. “Aave…

Why This New Trending Meme Coin Is Being Dubbed The New PEPE After Record Presale

The post Why This New Trending Meme Coin Is Being Dubbed The New PEPE After Record Presale appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. Crypto News 17 September 2025 | 20:13 The meme coin market is heating up once again as traders look for the next breakout token. While Shiba Inu (SHIB) continues to build its ecosystem and PEPE holds onto its viral roots, a new contender, Layer Brett (LBRETT), is gaining attention after raising more than $3.7 million in its presale. With a live staking system, fast-growing community, and real tech backing, some analysts are already calling it “the next PEPE.” Here’s the latest on the Shiba Inu price forecast, what’s going on with PEPE, and why Layer Brett is drawing in new investors fast. Shiba Inu price forecast: Ecosystem builds, but retail looks elsewhere Shiba Inu (SHIB) continues to develop its broader ecosystem with Shibarium, the project’s Layer 2 network built to improve speed and lower gas fees. While the community remains strong, the price hasn’t followed suit lately. SHIB is currently trading around $0.00001298, and while that’s a decent jump from its earlier lows, it still falls short of triggering any major excitement across the market. The project includes additional tokens like BONE and LEASH, and also has ongoing initiatives in DeFi and NFTs. However, even with all this development, many investors feel the hype that once surrounded SHIB has shifted elsewhere, particularly toward newer, more dynamic meme coins offering better entry points and incentives. PEPE: Can it rebound or is the momentum gone? PEPE saw a parabolic rise during the last meme coin surge, catching fire on social media and delivering massive short-term gains for early adopters. However, like most meme tokens driven largely by hype, it has since cooled off. PEPE is currently trading around $0.00001076, down significantly from its peak. While the token still enjoys a loyal community, analysts believe its best days may be behind it unless…
