BERA (BERA) 토크노믹스

Berachain is a Layer-1 blockchain built on the Cosmos SDK that utilizes a novel Proof-of-Liquidity (PoL) consensus mechanism. This model is designed to align network security with liquidity provision, addressing the capital inefficiency often found in traditional Proof-of-Stake (PoS) systems where staked assets remain idle.

Issuance Mechanism

Berachain employs a multi-token system consisting of BERA, BGT, and HONEY. The issuance of these tokens is tied to network activity and liquidity provision:

• BERA (Gas Token): BERA is the native gas token used to pay for transaction fees and can be staked to activate validators. At genesis, 500,000,000 BERA tokens were issued.
• BGT (Bera Governance Token): BGT is a non-transferable, soulbound governance token. It is primarily issued as emissions to users who provide liquidity to "reward vaults" or core protocols like the Berachain Exchange (BEX).
• BGT to BERA Conversion: While BGT is non-transferable, it can be irreversibly burned at a 1:1 ratio to mint new BERA tokens.
• HONEY (Stablecoin): A native stablecoin pegged to USDC, minted by swapping USDC through the network's peg stability mechanism.

Allocation Mechanism

The initial allocation of the 500,000,000 BERA tokens issued at genesis is distributed across several key stakeholder groups to foster ecosystem growth and long-term development:

Usage and Incentive Mechanism

The Proof-of-Liquidity model creates a circular economy where liquidity directly drives network rewards:

• Liquidity Provision: Users provide liquidity to authorized pools (e.g., BEX, Bend, Berps). In exchange, they earn BGT emissions.
• Governance and Delegation: BGT holders delegate their tokens to validators. This delegation determines the "weight" of a validator, which in turn dictates which liquidity pools receive future BGT emissions.
• Validator Rewards: Validators earn three types of income: BGT inflation (emissions), a portion of trading fees from the protocols they direct emissions to, and standard gas fees in BERA.
• Bribe Mechanism: To attract BGT delegation, validators can offer "bribes" (additional incentives) to delegators. This creates a competitive market where protocols incentivize validators to direct BGT emissions toward their specific liquidity pools.

Locking and Unlocking Mechanism

Berachain incorporates specific locking periods for both its governance tokens and its ecosystem participants:

• BGT Locking: BGT is inherently "locked" as a non-transferable token. It can only be used for governance or burned for BERA.
• Withdrawal Delays: Following the mainnet launch, certain ecosystem vaults (such as the uniBTC Berachain Vault) implemented a 3-month lock-up period before withdrawals were enabled.
• BERA Unlock Schedule: The BERA tokens allocated to investors and contributors follow a structured unlock schedule. Based on current projections, significant monthly unlocks are scheduled to begin in early 2026.

This schedule indicates a linear monthly release of approximately 13.33 million tokens, each representing a 5.81% increase relative to the circulating supply at that time.
